ABOUT OUR PRIMARY SCHOOL

Our Primary School goes from Grades 1 to 6. Lessons at the Primary level are planned based on the National Curriculum which has as its core Integrated Studies, Mathematics, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. The fact that we employ the National Standard Education means that students will be assessed at the national level sitting national assessments such as the Age Four Assessment, Grade One Diagnostic Test, Grade Three Diagnostic and the Primary Exit Profile that caters to students at Grades Four to Six. The National Assessments that cannot be catered to online will be done through one of the Ministry of Education’s examination centres.

MEET OUR FACILITATORS

Hello! I am Mr. Brown and I teach Grade 2 at Mentes Brillantes. A late musician once said “The good thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you”. I am dedicated to helping my students learn because it’s a gift that lasts forever.

Hi, I am Mrs. James – the Grade 3 Facilitator. I was imbued with the privilege of helping to develop these young minds holistically. Although it is a challenge, it is enjoyable to facilitate the development of these inquisitive and eager minds so they can achieve their full potential. It is my belief that ALL children are able to learn any concept taught to them irrespective of their varied intelligence. Because of this, I employ not just a variety of teaching strategies, but patience and humility when teaching.
My ultimate aim at the end of every lesson is to achieve 100% comprehension on every concept taught. Therefore I welcome full participation from my students both in and out of the classroom. Students’ ideas, opinions, knowledge and questions are always welcome since this is a learning environment for all of us, myself included.
Our parents are vital to the success of our students and so I readily welcome open communication with them. Parents are free to contact me at anytime convenient to them.
